We are thrilled to share that our customer, Banco Davivienda, the largest banks in Colombia, was awarded for its DaviPlata Digital Wallet! PayKey is delighted to be part of our customer’s success and see them make an impact across the banking sector, forever changing the way people interact with their banks.


The Model Bank Award is a yearly event at which Celent, an international research and advisory firm focused on the application of information technology in the global financial services industry, recognizes excellence in technology within the banking industry.


This award is designed to answer a very simple question: What would it look like for a firm to do everything right with today’s technology?


In 2017, Banco Davivienda partnered with us and launched the Red Little House Key, which provides a seamless and intuitive user experience and ensures that the bank’s logo (a red little house) is placed right in front of the user – directly on the keyboard- at all times; ideal for ongoing brand engagement, right?


PayKey’s white label solution comes at a time when the ever-increasing adoption of smartphones has led banks to invest in innovative mobile banking solutions as a way of extending its engagement and enhancing its experience with existing customers – rendering it sticky and compelling.


Davivienda’s Red Little House Key is no exception. It allows consumers to conveniently engage in variety of banking activities directly from any social media or messaging application, without having to leave the social interaction they’re in. This includes making peer-to-peer payments, splitting bills, speaking with a service representative, sending money to be collected at an ATM, and more.


By May 2018, over 1.3 million transactions and more than 3 million dollars have been transferred – whether through Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, or Twitter. To add to it, there’s been a 3x increase in daily app downloads since the launch.


This falls in line with the award’s mission: to recognize a financial institution’s effective use of technology in improving performance and meeting market demands. According to the Model Awards Program, the winners “represent the way things should be done”.
